Residential & Communities Platform

Project Overview

Our client is leading home automation, security hardware, and technology provider in the Asia region. They approached E2logy with a requirement to develop a properties management and communities platform. The primary goal of the platform was to eliminate many of the manual processes that are involved in managing properties, such as notices, announcements, complaints and amenities booking, etc.

The system should also allow managing maintenance requests. Residents should also be able to pay maintenance request fees and amenities booking fees, etc. Via the platform itself. Moreover, they were also looking to integrate certain home automation systems within the platform.

Some of the primary requirements were:

  • This will be a single platform that will be used by different properties.
  • The system should be built in a modular configuration. So, it should be possible to enable/disable modules from the database.
  • Admin will manually configure the new property portal for property based on the instruction document.

The challenge we faced

The proposed solution was supposed to be a completely modular system so that the property managers/companies can choose between the modules that they need. Moreover, the system must be scalable and extensible, so that new modules can be added easily, and the platform should also be able to accommodate the growing number of users as new communities sign up to use the platform. Additionally, the system architecture had to be flexible enough to support easy integration of the extensive home and condo automation devices.

Solution we came up with

E2logy’s team of solution experts thoroughly understood the requirements and designed a fully scalable, completely modular platform consisting of a mobile app, web app, and a backend.

  • The mobile app was targeted at residents and will allow them to stay connected with the community and the neighborhood, view notices and announcements from the property manager, raise maintenance requests and track them, book common amenities, make the payment for maintenance and amenities and receive instant alerts regarding their property, community, and bookings.
  • Furthermore, it will also allow them to manage their visitors by issuing a day pass for entry and parking.
  • The property managers and the platform admin will have access to an extensive backend which allows them to manage their day-to-day activities such as sending notices, posting announcements, managing the property documents, managing the maintenance requests and amenities bookings, etc.

The Result

The result was a simple, quick & efficient centralized system to manage all the activities and tasks of the property management along with enhanced security of the property by allowing only authorized entry. Also enabling the monitoring and control of the various home automation devices from anywhere.

The solution facilitated a completely online system to manage every aspect of the property and community management and eliminate the need to have paperwork and manual work. The platform also helped in bringing the communities together and enhancing the lives of the residents who live in those neighborhoods.
